PSAスクリーニングは有害無益（米国USPSTF）

　前立腺がんの早期発見として日本でもPSAの検査が取り入れられていますが、近年その有用性を巡っては議論が続いています。そんな中、米国予防医学作業部会（USPSTF：U.S. Preventive Services Task Force）が21日、前立腺がんのスクリーニングとしてのPSA検査は、ベネフィットを害が上回るとした“D Reccommendation”を勧告したことから米国では大きな話題となっています。

　今回のUSPSTFの勧告について、米国泌尿器学会は前立腺がんの家族歴などの場合は個別に対応すべきなどして、不適当で無責任だと反発しているようです。
