第一弾は、外傷後の出血の防止と治療に使われるトラネキサム酸で、外傷後8時間以内に投与する（事故後3時間以内に行うことが望ましい）ことがよいとしています。

2010年6月にLancetに発表されたCRASH-2トライアルや今年8月にBMJ誌に発表された 研究などからエビデンスがあるとして今回示されたようです。

ちょうど、日本でいうところの厚労省の「医療上の必要性の高い未承認薬･適応外薬検討会議」での検討に似ているにも思いましたが、NICEの違いは、かなり最新の研究も網羅されていること、一般向けの情報がアップされている点です。（簡単でわかりやすい）
