これは先週の25日に、サプリメントを販売するBlackmores社（http://www.blackmores.com.au/）が、地域薬局の全国組織（全国5200薬局の94％が会員）であるThe Pharmacy Guild of Australia（http://www.guild.org.au/）と共同で4製品を販売する（おそらく推売するということだと思う）と発表したことに端を発しています。

日本でもありそうな話なのですが、Blackmores社の最高責任者が、業界紙に対し、「薬局の新たな収益源になる」「処方薬を販売する際のコーラやフライドポテトのようなものだ」と発言したことが大きな波紋となり、各紙は抱き合わせ販売につながるのではないかといった記事を掲載、今回のコラボレーションに疑問を投げかけました。

一定のエビデンスのあるものを、地域薬局でくすりの専門家である薬剤師の下で販売することが理にかなうとして考えたことなのでしょうが、ちょっとした一言が世間の批判を浴びてしまったようです。
まずは医師による治療を中心とし、本当にその人にとって必要なくすり（サプリメント）のみを供給するというプロフェッショナルを地域薬局や薬剤師に求めたのかもしれません。
