ベルギーのの独占禁止法規制当局は、薬局におけるOTC医薬品の配置に関する反競争的なカテゴリーマネジメント契約に関連し、ジョンソン・エンド・ジョンソン・コンシューマー、ベーリンガーインゲルハイム、およびハレオンに対し制裁を科すと発表

このカテゴリーマネジメント契約というのは、販促や自社製品が店頭で有利な位置に配置されるなどの便宜をはかるもので、ベルギーの規制当局はルギーおよびEUの競争ルールに違反するとして、ジョンソン・エンド・ジョンソン・コンシューマー、ベーリンガーインゲルハイム、およびハレオンの３社に対し1125万ユーロの罰金を科したそうです。（和解に同意し10％免除）
通常こういった取り決めは反競争的とはみなされませんが、当局は、大手OTC医薬品販売業者に、棚のプラノグラム(棚割り)において自社製品の陳列スペースを広く確保する一方で、競合他社の製品を不利に扱ったり、場合によっては排除したりすることで、薬局におけるOTC医薬品の視認性をコントロールしようとしたということで、競争法の枠を超えたカテゴリー・マネジメントを行ったと判断したそうです。
